Music:The musical score for Second Chances consists of 22 songs (approx. 40-45 minutes) of music, plus incidental music. The eclectic musical selections are sure to be a hit for people of all ages.
It includes such classic rock tunes as "CRT Tanning", soft rock numbers like "Red Roses", jazz tunes like "Bop" and "Twinkle" (a jazzy rendition of Twinkle Twinkle with new lyrics), and even classic musical theatre-style songs such as "Get Rid of that Ho" and "Score One for Me". There's even a little Gregorian Chant thrown in for variation.
The goal of Second Chances is to prove that musicals don't have to all sound the same. Lately, many musical theatre productions, whether for stage or screen, have fallen into one of two categories: a rock opera or an Andrew-Lloyd Weber knock-off. Both styles have their place, and indeed, both styles play supporting roles in this score.
Second chances, however, attempts to go beyond that, striving to explore the various styles of musical theatre, television, and movies through the years. It also adds its own unique styles not previously seen in this medium. It has been a joy to write the songs and compose the overture and incidental music, and we hope that it will also be a joy for the listener.
